SweetPea Meetings is looking for an experienced Conference and Event Manager to take the lead on multiple corporate meetings and conferences. Experience successfully managing the meeting and conference process from A-Z including but not limited to: Site selection and Sourcing, Hotel Contracts, Agenda Management, F&B planning – BEO’s, A/V, Venue Space, Layout, Room Block, Vendors, Sponsors, Speakers, Budget, Creative Deliverables, and Registration Platform. This is a highly visible and independent role which demands extensive customer service skills, professionalism, and a willingness to handle all planning and administrative details of meetings.


We are a boutique corporate event firm based in Scottsdale, AZ. A small team, with 17 years of event experience, we manage numerous corporate conferences each year. We are extremely client focused, working to ensure our client success. Our extensive planning and problem solving up front helps our clients succeed and pull off successful events.   • College degree required, preferably in hospitality management.
  • A CMP is preferred.
  • Typically, a minimum of 6-8 years of directly related conference event management experience is required to be successful at this job.
  • Experience managing and leading the planning of 500 attendee conferences from A-Z
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Cvent, and / or other event management platforms
  • Strong customer service & project management skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal presentation skills
  • Delegate and manage additional team members, as necessary
  • Able to drive teams to success both in event and personal professional goals
  • Maintain clear project plan
  • Self-starter who can influence and drive projects to completion
  • Great flexibility, strategic problem solving
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Multi-tasking, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in fast paced, and often high-pressure environment.
  • Experience and comfort working and communicating with executive level leaders
  • An eye for creativity and an aptitude to rapidly learn new concepts and skills
  • Location: Prefer Phoenix metro candidate, but open to fully remote for the right candidate
  • Travel Requirements: Travel for domestic or international events as needed. If remote hire, a minimum One-week face to face training in Phoenix to have time with the team.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to carry 40+ lbs. Remote home office. Individuals will be required to travel via airplane, train, taxi, car and/or other means of transportation as needed.
