JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Cost Accountant is an important member of the FFP Finance team providing expertise and leadership in the areas of cost accounting, operations, and supply chain finance support which includes forecasting, manufacturing variance analysis, plant performance KPIs, and cost improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, previous cost accounting experience, the ability to frame complex financial and business issues, and the ability to deliver results. This position also requires strong written and verbal communication skills.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains standard costs including material, labor, and overhead variance analysis.
  • Leads inventory and fixed asset cycle counts.
  • Works closely with the CFO and COO to develop and publish monthly cost of goods sold and Inventory statements, and critical operations performance metrics.
  • Provides leadership and expertise to shape and influence financial systems and technology enablers including optimizing business processes and advancing standardization, report automation, and analytics/visualization.
  • Supports network strategy initiatives and the capital forecasting and deployment processes.
  • Analyzes, frames, and communicates key drivers of Gross Profit variances including price volume mix analysis and offers insights and analytics to drive optimal decision making.
  • Provides financial support and modeling for ad hoc projects and business opportunities.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of finance, accounting, or related business experience required
  • Previous cost accounting and supply chain finance experience required
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • ERP implementation experience is highly desirable
