Major League Baseball is seeking a passionate, organized communicator to join our Minor League Operations and Development Department. As a Regional Supervisor, you will oversee portions of day-to-day baseball operations administration and components of league governance both internationally and domestically, while also focusing on improving the broader player development system. Working as a member of this department, you will work closely with all types of baseball operations personnel. A successful candidate needs to be an experienced professional with an outstanding work ethic, intrinsic motivation, and a growth mindset.
Primary Responsibilities
- Regularly communicate with representatives from Major League Clubs, minor league (PDL) clubs, and international baseball operations; build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships
- Travel to the Dominican Republic regularly, minor league facilities during the season, to league meetings during the off-season, and other locations as required
- Oversee baseball operations administration, including but not limited to, on-field discipline, game postponements and rescheduling, and certain aspects of postseason and offseason logistics
- Report on all incidents, concerns, feedback received, and other pertinent information in a timely manner; strategize and critically think through problems as they arise
- Collaborate with other Regional Supervisors to ensure an understanding and implementation of best practices
- Ensure that all expectations and standards, rules and regulations, and initiatives are communicated and adhered to by all personnel throughout the leagues; educate on and hold personnel accountable to MLB’s mission and values
- Collect and track feedback from clubs related to operational procedures and player development initiatives; stay abreast of all feedback and trends occurring throughout the leagues
- Support the department with daily operations and perform other duties as assigned by Senior Director, Player Development and other members of the Minor League Operations and Development Department
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Major League organizations regarding minor league and international operations is strongly preferred and will be a vital component to optimize the impact of this position
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is strongly preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal ability, including being prepared to nurture relationships and manage communications remotely with a wide range of individuals
- Astute attention to detail with excellent organizational and management skills, including strong written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience and holistic thinking skills
- Passion for all levels of baseball, its impact on communities, and the on- and off-field development of all personnel involved in the game
- Reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining availability outside of normal business hours as dictated by game schedules and other baseball operations activity
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance or other relevant business experience
- 5+ years professional experience, preferably in the field of professional, international, or collegiate athletics, or other related fields

Per pay transparency laws, the hiring range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
