Salary Range for US Based Staff: $69,329 - $81,563

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic FP&A Analyst to play a key role in driving financial planning and analysis initiatives to support strategic decision making across the organization. As part of the FP&A team this role will assist with budgeting and forecasting process, analyze financial and operational data, project management, and deliver actionable insights to the leadership team and board of directors. This role focuses on leveraging data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform and enhance business strategies. The role will also contribute to modernizing financial systems and processes, including supporting an ERP implementation. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and analytical professional with a passion for data driven insights and project management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborative member of the FP&A team
- Partner with Finance team and other departments to deliver accurate and insightful budgets, forecasts, and reports
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align the financial planning process with organizational priorities
- Act as a strategic partner to budget owner, ensuring understanding of the budget process
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide actionable recommendations to optimize financial performance and support strategic initiatives
- Reporting
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis for the leadership team and board of directors
- Communicate key insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborate with the FP&A and Finance teams to ensure consistency and clarity in all reporting deliverables
- ERP Implementation
- Support Finance and Technology teams in SOI’s ERP implementation process, ensuring the system will meet financial planning and reporting requirements
- Facilitate system testing and training for team members, enabling effective adoption
- Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate to streamline processes, improve tools, and enhance reporting tools
- Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives across financial planning and analysis activities
Required Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience plus Five to Seven years of relevant work experience. Experience and/or coursework in the area of financial planning, accounting or project management is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to take complex ideas into clear, actionable insights
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with an FP&A or Finance team
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced excel skill and familiarity with data analytics tools
- Experience working with an international nonprofit organization
