Job Description
What if you could build the next big idea — just enough to see if it truly works?
That’s the mission of this role. We’re looking for you to join our multidisciplinary team focused on experimenting, prototyping, and validating new engagement opportunities across our digital ecosystem. From games to creative tools, from playful websites to physical interactions, your job is to help us answer one key question:
If we build this thing, will it help us achieve our goals?
What You’ll Do – Day to Day
Design and develop playable prototypes, ranging from quick one-day hacks to more polished, multi-week experiments.
Use tools and platforms that fit the idea—Unity is common, but we also explore Playdate, mobile, web technologies, and even physical formats like cardboard.
Build with speed and focus: your mission is to test hypotheses, not ship final products.
Collaborate closely with a diverse and curious team of designers, tinkerers, researchers, and storytellers.
Put prototypes in front of real users in real contexts to see what sticks—and what doesn’t.
Present your work—and the thinking behind it—to senior stakeholders.
Celebrate failure as much as success, knowing both are crucial steps toward progress.
Confidently hand off successful concepts to other teams for further development.
Why join us?
Digital Consumer Engagement team exists to ensure that The LEGO Group’s relationships with consumers are direct, sustained, two-way and meaningful!
You’ll be part of a team with a broad mandate: exploring new opportunities for engagement across all touchpoints of our portfolio. Your work will directly influence how we create meaningful, creative, and ethical experiences for our audiences—now and in the future.
If you're driven by curiosity, love experimenting, and are ready to roll up your sleeves and build, we’d love to hear from you 🕺.
What We’re Looking For
A design-minded creative technologist with 3+ years of experience building usable digital experiences—games, websites, or apps—using tools like Unity, React Native, HAXE, or Lua-based SDKs (e.g., LÖVE).
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to create clarity through experimentation and smart design thinking.
A strong grasp of UI and interaction design, with the judgment to prioritize function over polish.
A rapid prototyping mindset—you build just enough to learn, not to perfect.
Someone who thrives in a culture of iteration and open critique—you’re happy to let go of your "darlings" in service of better ideas.
Passion for play and trying new things—whether it's digital or physical.
