As we expand, we are looking for a passionate and dynamic Business Development Executive to help us grow our network of partners.
Job Summary: The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and maintaining relationships with brands and vendors who want to sell their products on our platform. This role involves market research, price negotiations, inventory management, and building long-term partnerships to ensure continuous growth and success for both our platform and our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand/Vendor Onboarding: - Identify and approach potential brands that align with our business model and product categories.
- Pitch the benefits of partnering with our platform and onboard them to start selling.
- Ensure smooth integration of vendor products into our platform, including setting up accounts, product listings, and agreements.
2. Vendor Relationship Management: - Build and nurture long-term relationships with vendors to ensure mutual growth and success.
- Act as the main point of contact for all vendor queries and requirements.
- Maintain regular communication to understand vendor needs, market trends, and customer preferences.
3. Inventory Management: - Monitor stock levels for all onboarded brands to ensure optimum inventory. - Coordinate with vendors to manage supply and demand effectively.
- Work with the operations team to forecast stock needs based on sales trends and promotional campaigns.
4. Price Negotiation: - Negotiate pricing and payment terms with vendors to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure our platform offers competitive and attractive prices.
5. Market Research & Analysis: - Conduct market research to identify new and emerging brands, product categories, and customer preferences.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
6. Sales & Revenue Growth: - Develop strategies to maximize sales for onboarded brands, including promotions, discounts, and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create vendor-specific promotional plans.
7. Performance Tracking & Reporting: - Monitor the performance of onboarded brands in terms of sales, inventory turnover, and customer feedback.
- Prepare regular reports on vendor performance and suggest improvements to enhance sales.
Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in business development, vendor management, or a related role (preferably in the e-commerce industry).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse brands and vendors.
- Knowledge of inventory management and demand forecasting.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand market trends and financial data.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify).
