Job role -
The Operations and Finance Manager (Shared Services) is a key role, responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of operations and controls within the organization. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable management, client contract vetting, faculty communications, revenue recognition, cost optimization, and comprehensive financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities -
As an Operations and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a smooth flow of operations and controls across various functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable and Vendor Management :Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Implement and manage vendor management systems to optimize relationships and streamline processes.
- Accounts Receivable and Collections: Supervise the accounts receivable process, including timely invoicing and efficient collection procedures.
- Implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables and improve cash flow.
- Client Contract Management: Manage client contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance and adherence to terms and policies.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders for closure.
- Track and maintain repository for the department on all legal documents
- Faculty Communications/Contracts and Payouts: Facilitate communication and contracts with faculty members.
- Ensure accurate and timely payout processes for faculty.
- Revenue Recognition: Monitor and analyze revenue streams to ensure accurate recognition.
- Report revenue monthly to Finance and complete a variance analysis once a final version is received from Finance.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost optimization across various operational areas.
- Collaborate with department heads to implement cost-saving measures.
- Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports detailing financial and operational performance.
- Conduct regular reviews of key performance indicators.
- Monthly P&L Analysis: Analyze monthly profit and loss statements, identifying trends and variances.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for improvement.
- Budgets – Preparation and Comparative Analysis: Lead the preparation of budgets in collaboration with department heads.
- Conduct comparative analysis to track budget performance against actual results.
Job Specification
Knowledge / Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or professional certifications preferred.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite(Sap preferred)
