POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a passionate data and analytics leader responsible for establishing and motivating a team of data and analytics professionals. This role will work closely with the Head of Data and Analytics and involves overseeing data analytics projects aligned to business value, driving data strategy, and ensuring effective collaboration with global team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and analytics, excellent leadership skills, and experience managing teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Establishment and Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train a team of data and analytics professionals including data analysts, data scientists, data governance specialists and agile data scrum leads.
- Develop and implement onboarding processes and training programs.
- Create a collaborative and efficient remote working environment.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data analytics projects.
- Coordinate with onshore stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Data Strategy and Governance:
- Partner with data governance leaders to develop and implement data governance policies to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Establish data analytics best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate data sources and ensure data accessibility.
Analytics and Insights:
- Lead the team in analyzing complex datasets to provide actionable insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for offshore data analytics operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including onshore teams and external partners.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between offshore and onshore teams.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance team performance and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Proven experience in establishing and managing remote or offshore teams.
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong understanding of data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI, AWS and Azure cloud platforms).
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience) in related fields such as: Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or other areas combined with relevant work experience is required
- 15+ years of combined experience in data and analytics, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Agile methodologies and ideally, analytics methodology experience
- Preferred experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), analytics tools and techniques and data governance frameworks
