Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation where delivering a nutritional offering to the indigenous community is an integral part of our business objectives. You will be a highly motivated person with a passion for health and have experience delivering quality information and training to our frontline employees.
The role, which will be based in Darwin, will require extensive travel throughout Outback Stores' network of retail outlets across Northern Territory, South Australia, and Western Australia. You will deliver training and advocate the nutritional programs to our employees working in remote communities.
We are looking for someone whose organisational skills will be exceptional and who has the ability to form strong bonds with current employees and stakeholders, and who has the passion to want to make a difference in health in Indigenous communities around Australia.
We are seeking a person that enjoys remote travel and the challenge that being remote can bring. You will be determined to make a difference and will be able to provide regular feedback and ideas for continuous support and improvement in the Indigenous community.

Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in the role you will have:
Outback Stores desires our Nutritionist to have a range of skills that are transferable to our team environment, including:
- Postgraduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition or Dietetics as recognised by the Dietitians Australia, Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) program;
- Relevant health experience and good knowledge of current Dietetics and Nutrition Practices.
- Hold (or be able to obtain) Working with Children Check and National Police Certificate.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a health promoting role (highly recommended but not essential).
- Experience in working effectively with those of diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
- Self-motivated & able to manage own workload.
- Strong computer literacy, with the ability to learn new software.
