The Opportunity
As the Manager Strategic Partnerships at the City of Perth, you will lead the Partnership Team to deliver a proactive and strategic approach to revenue generation for the City, ensuring the financial sustainability of the City’s annual event offering in line with the Events Strategy. You will collaborate with the team to enhance the City's identity while elevating Perth's visibility and reputation as a premier and dynamic event destination.
Reporting to the Alliance Manager City Events, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Developing and driving targeted partnership strategies and activities that generate sponsorship leads and achieve results;
- Using market and industry knowledge, with a focus on continued business networking and relationship building, to develop and maintain a continuous prospect pipeline;
- Leading the Partnership Team to grow, develop, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate revenue generation and secure long-term partnership agreements;
- Overseeing the preparation of high-quality and tailored submissions, proposals, and acquittals for sponsorships and grant funding.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Extensive experience and results in leading a team to develop and execute significant event, partnership, fundraising and/or sponsorship programs and projects;
- Superior relationship management skills with an extensive established network;
- Strong commercial awareness and proven track record in securing high level sponsorships;
- Superior communication skills with the ability to write succinct proposals and reports for Council and City’s CEO.

Eligibility

- A current ‘C’ class Australian drivers licence;
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
