Job Title : Banking Relationship Manager
Job Summary:
The Banking Relationship Manager will be responsible for managing and developing new relationships with banks and financial institutions to support the company’s equipment leasing business. The role involves raising funds, managing debt syndication, and working on term loans, working capital loans, securitization, and down-selling of debt. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate banking, fund raising, and debt management, combined with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Excel and business modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Banking Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other lenders to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company and financial institutions, negotiating loan terms and conditions.
- Monitor the performance of banking relationships, ensuring that the company’s needs are met efficiently.
Fund Raising & Debt Management:
- Lead fund-raising initiatives, including debt raising and syndication, to support the company’s equipment leasing activities.
- Structure and negotiate term loans and working capital loans, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial strategy.
- Manage the entire debt lifecycle, including down-selling of debt to optimize the company’s financial position.
Securitization & Financial Structuring:
- Oversee securitization processes, ensuring that the company’s assets are leveraged effectively.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to structure financial products that meet market demands and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic advice on the use of various debt instruments to optimize capital structure.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess the feasibility and impact of various financing options.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Work closely with the finance and treasury teams to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions to identify opportunities for fund raising and debt management.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial strategies and opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CFA qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: 5 to 15 years of experience in banking relationship management, fund raising, debt raising, and debt syndication.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of term loans, working capital loans, securitization, and down-selling of debt.
- Proficient in financial analysis, negotiation, and debt structuring.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial modeling.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
