Job Overview
As the Operational Account Director, you will be passionate about processes and the power of having “one way of doing things”. You’ll need to bring your organisational skills, high attention to detail and have the authority to hold the team to account. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team is equipped with the tools, knowledge and procedures that it needs to function with efficiency, scalability and consistency.
One of the most important processes which you’ll be responsible for is that of team training. While you won’t be responsible for delivering training (unless appropriate), you’ll have the important job of facilitating team training and making sure that everyone at Genie Goals has a clear record of past and future training.
Key Responsibilities
- Nurturing Talent
- Skills gaps identification in the team
- Ensuring the entire team has a Learning & Development plan in place
- Ensuring each channel has robust in-channel training
- Wider training - working with the leadership team and Account Directors to identify training needs
- Processes
- Processes gap identification across the teams/channels
- Maintaining an awareness and record of knowledge and processes
- Holding Account Directors to account regarding processes
- Responsible for ensuring that new processes are designed and implemented
- Oversight and Support
- Holding champs accountable on their area of the business
- Provide both oversight and support to other account directors and strategists
- Agency Tools
- Stay ahead of the competition regarding strategies and technologies
- Maintain an awareness of tools we’re using as an agency
- Reporting and Communication
- Supporting with creating reports for new and existing clients
- Support Account Directors in ensuring that reporting and communication is consistent
- Internal Communication
- Report to the Head of Digital Marketing
- Coordinate strategic meetings and brainstorms
- Other
- Ensuring that the Genie Goals Shared Drive is organised
