Hourly Rate: £55,000 per annum
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- To plan, monitor, and oversee the Audio-Visual operations in all commercial areas of the venue to maximize profits.
- To provide innovative, modern, and flawless AV experiences to clients and ensure services are delivered to the highest standards.
- To inspire, develop, and nurture the talent within the team to support a culture of continual development and service excellence.
- To liaise and coordinate with other key stakeholders for successful service delivery.
- To manage labour resources according to business levels and within agreed budgets.
- To forecast labour costs weekly and report negative variances.
- To monitor and plan for PPM costs accurately and submit quarterly equipment stocktake reviews.
- To plan the purchase of equipment improvements/innovations within set budgets.
- To seek and negotiate the best pricing on AV products and services.
- To continuously improve service and guest experience through standards and procedures.
- To attend daily and weekly operational meetings with key stakeholders.
- To coordinate and manage client expectations regarding AV operations.
- To ensure AV facilities are functioning and set up for client use.
- To manage the inventory of all AV assets.
- To manage the upkeep of AV assets and connectors according to manufacturer manuals.
- To carry out minor repairs/replacements and manage major repairs via suppliers.
- To manage AV contracts, including PPM service contracts.
- To manage minor installs and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- To seek external technical support as needed to meet customer requirements.
- To ensure daily handovers are submitted and escalate issues as they occur.
- To ensure storage locations and control rooms are tidy at the end of each day.
- To manage sundry resources such as batteries, lenses, and uniforms.
- To manage freelance technicians on a day-to-day basis.
People:
- Ensure effective recruitment and retention of team members.
- Ensure all staff report on duty on time and are in correct uniform.
- Ensure suitable department inductions are in place.
- Manage HR platform for new starters and leavers.
- Manage employee holiday allocations and absences.
- Complete/manage department rotas within budgets.
- Submit timesheets weekly and on time.
- Manage team performance and conduct disciplinary meetings as necessary.
- Attend recommended training courses for career development.
- Deliver on-the-job training to junior team members.
- Ensure continuous development of team members.
- Ensure rising stars are developed as part of the succession plan.
- Ensure performance reviews are carried out regularly.
- Ensure temporary staff receive adequate training.
- Assist sales department in creating competitive AV packages.
- Relay additional chargeable AV services to the events team for billing.
Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure adherence to all government legislation and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to all company and client policies and procedures.
- Carry out and report monthly PPM audits.
- Ensure due diligence documentation is up to date.
- Review risk assessments annually.
- Act as a Health and Safety Champion.
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Carry out reasonable requests from senior management.
