DESCRIPTION
- Identify, assess, and address potential concerns, problems, and risks. Report potential risks to the Legal and/or Compliance teams and manage the mitigation and removal of that risk.
- Understand, interpret, and present technical information to Senior Management and Executives.
- Demonstrate inclusive collaboration with peers on complex or contentious reinsurance developments.
- Support and provide training, coaching and guidance within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service provision and problem solving.
- Manage effectively, with clear and concise communication of progress and in a timely manner to all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide input for the evolution of the operational model at all levels of the organisation.
- Promote new process improvement ideas leveraging technology solutions and value-added product solutions.
- Participate in team and department meetings and activities to share opinions, ideas, and knowledge.
- Maintain strong working relationships and participate in initiatives and/or contribute where required to deliver outcomes.
- Seek opportunities to increase own understanding and improve the services provided.
- Develop and deliver technical training on a range of reinsurance matters affecting today’s business, including but not limited to claims and contract specific issues and forward-thinking potential risks.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Knowledge of industry standard reinsurance concepts and principles, laws, regulatory requirements, and general business trends.
- Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement, and development.
- Strong verbal and writing skills for the communication of complex claims issues, presentations and negotiations with clients, markets, and GC colleagues at all levels.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the reinsurance transaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
