About the role:
At Tyro, our Brand team's mission is to establish Tyro as the go-to partner for payments and banking among Australian business owners. As a Brand and Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our brand’s growth and visibility across multiple channels. You'll be involved in a variety of activities, from traditional and digital marketing campaigns to creating compelling brand content and managing our social media presence.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that span internal and external communications, engaging with direct customers, shareholders, partners, and retail audiences.
What you'll do:
- Brand Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies, identify gaps and opportunities, and propose actionable tactics. You'll also measure and report on the effectiveness of these strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Campaign Development: Plan and execute brand and social media campaigns that highlight Tyro's unique value proposition. Collaborate with creative, media, and production agencies, or use in-house resources to produce compelling brand narratives.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging social media content and maintain content calendars. Ensure that all content reinforces Tyro's brand and gives businesses compelling reasons to choose us.
- Data-Driven Insights: Use your media and data analysis skills to evaluate multichannel campaigns. Turn brand metrics into actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with our internal Creative Studio or external agencies to produce distinctive brand assets, including thought leadership content, PR materials, photography, videos, and whitepapers.
- Social Media Oversight: Manage Tyro’s social media presence across all major platforms, curating and creating content that enhances our brand visibility and engagement.
- Team Support: Act as a brand ambassador and support the team by assisting with award submissions, managing internal software tools, and co-managing the brand budget, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
What you'll bring:
Previous commercial experience in advertising, branding, media planning, or public relations.
Ability to work effectively with experts, including cross-functional teams and agency partners.
Passion for creating impactful and memorable campaigns.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to distill research and data into compelling narratives.
Experience in advertising agencies, financial services, or the tech industry is highly valued.
