The Role
As the Director of Information Management and Privacy, you will lead the strategic management of the Department’s and portfolio agencies’ information, which includes information access and records and privacy requirements to ensure compliance with legislative obligations and the retention of corporate knowledge. You will enjoy motivating and developing a team of specialists and foster a culture of accountability as you drive a greater understanding and appreciation of information access, records management, and privacy across the department. Using your extensive knowledge and experience working with NSW information management, privacy and records management legislation, you will excel in the provision of expert advice to our senior leaders and staff. In addition to managing complex and sensitive GIPA decisions, you will be the Department’s Senior Responsible Officer for records management.

What is an essential requirement:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant work experience.
