We are currently on the hunt for the next passionate and dedicated Level 1 (unqualified and passionate workers) and Level 2 (qualified and dedicated workers) Carers - or as we like to call them with Feros - Community Support Workers, to help our clients in our ever-growing teams across the following areas:
Darling Downs Region - which covers Toowoomba, Highfields and surrounding suburbs.
The Roles:
As a Community Support Worker at Feros Care, you will provide essential support and care to clients in their homes and the community. Your role will be varied and fulfilling, including tasks such as:
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (for Level 2 qualified carers only)
- Supporting clients with household tasks - General Cleaning and Domestic assistance
- Providing companionship and social support
- Assisting with mobility and transportation - Shopping and social outings
- Monitoring clients' health and well-being
- Ensuring clients' safety and comfort at all times
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $31.32 (Level 1 carers) and $31.89 (level 2 carers) + 11.5% superannuation.
- Tax-Free Benefits: Salary packaging up to $15,899 p.a. + Meal and Entertainment Card ($2,650 pre-tax).
- Travel Reimbursement: 99c per km.

About You:
To be successful within your role as a Community Support Worker you must have passion about working with the Elderly - love hearing their stories and want to be a part of their journey as well as;
- (Level 2 only) Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support with electives in "Ageing" or "Home & Community" or equivalent, or relevant experience in "Individual Care" Services including delivery of Personal Care - Must be able to provide a copy of your transcripts to support this.
- (Level 1) MUST have passion for the industry and would potentially like to take up the Cert III course whilst working with us.
- Hold A Current and unrestricted Australian driver's licence and ability to travel using own vehicle
- Hold A Current vehicle registration including compulsory third-party personal injury insurance
- Hold A Current First Aid Certificate - This will need to be supplied to us prior to commencement as this is now Mandatory to hold.
- A Immunisation History certification in accordance with legislative requirements
- Working With Children (Blue Card) - or willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
- We operate between the hours of 7am-7pm Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend shifts (for Level 2 carers usually) - we need several carers to be available throughout these times and days. Good availability = Good hours given.
