Our HR team is at the heart of AJ Bell and our core purpose is to drive our employee value proposition and employee experience. Due to continued growth, we're now looking to recruit a Reward Adviser to join us.
Based out of our fantastic Manchester office, this role will support the continued development, implementation and evaluation of AJ Bell's approach to reward.
What does the job involve?
It's a hands-on, get stuck in kind of role and you will be right into the weeds of all aspects of reward, including:
- Providing comprehensive internal and external benchmarking of salary data and employee benefits, working in partnership with internal teams and external suppliers;
- Monitoring and providing detailed analysis, insights and reports on executive and senior roles pay on a regular basis;
- Maintaining market data and participating in pay and benefits surveys;
- Supporting with job evaluation work;
- Delivering the annual reward calendar activities such as pay review, bonus awards, etc.; and
- Assessing data and preparing reports for the Remuneration Committee and People Committee at regular intervals throughout the company year.
Must haves: knowledge, skills and experience
We're looking for someone who has worked in either a reward role (or you could have HR experience directly involving reward) at adviser level, with a few pay cycles' experience under your belt - meaning you've built up your knowledge and practice.
The role requires someone who can:
- Carry out job evaluations and create/improve pay structures
- Benchmark pay (fixed and variable) and benefits, ideally including senior/executive roles
- Is highly analytical and numerate
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
- Work proactively and collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Use advanced Excel skills
Nice to have: knowledge, skills and experience
- A HR or reward qualification
- UK regulated financial services experience
