A Groups, Conference and Events Sales Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the Groups, Conference and Events Sales Executives and working with the Hotel to achieve pre-established goals. Responsible for maximizing sales results for Hotel Groups and Events.
What will I be doing?
As a Groups, Conference and Events Sales Assistant Manager, you will support the development of the Groups and Sales Executive team who will attend the events in the hotel, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our services. Specifically, the Groups and Events Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Supervise the Sales Coordinators to deliver standard services to customers and achieve financial goals.
- Visit customers with the Sales Manager to guarantee the success of major groups and events.
- Engage in negotiations for groups and events to maximize results.
- Coordinate the "function meeting" with vital information about upcoming groups and events.
- Conduct weekly communication meetings with the coordinators.
- Promote hotel facilities and understand competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
- Organize hotel visits and manage unexpected requests.
- Act as the liaison between clients and hotel staff when necessary.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and Revenue Management to ensure the sales process is completed and up to date.
- Update daily sales activities in hotel systems, ensuring accuracy for the Groups Report.
- Review rates, groups, deadlines, and waiting lists.
- Assess commission reports for groups, events, and Food and Beverage.
- Participate in special activities, such as secretaries' cocktails and welcome dinners for groups.
- Ensure all requests are answered within 24 hours.
- Maintain client relationships and stay informed about their needs.
- Foster a positive work environment and good communication within the department and with other hotel departments to ensure compliance with Brand Standards and customer satisfaction.
- Adapt to changes according to hotel operations’ needs.
- Promote the hotel’s activities and events.
What are we looking for?
A Groups, Conference and Events Sales Assistant Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and collaborating with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should have the following:
- Graduate Degree or MBA in Management, Hospitality, or Marketing.
- Fluent in English; a second language is desirable.
- Previous experience in sales and events/banquets, preferably in a hotel, with leadership and supervisory experience.
- Critical analysis skills to strategically evaluate sales opportunities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to handle stress while promoting a constructive and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of Product and Marketing, including hotel operations and team organization.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
