Key responsibilities :
- Manage production of analysis content within your area
- Schedule work to reflect overall agreed schedule plans and update the online publication plan
- Ensure reports in the publication plan have been assigned to relevant analysts well ahead of publication deadline and arrange for reviewing of completed reports
- Be a key thought leader across sectors, providing value for the whole value chain for the industry
- Knowledge sharing of reports in each area across wider team
- Propose ideas to senior management for repurposing custom projects and new report series
- Be able to present key content to industry via conference presentations and directly to clients in calls and face-to-face meetings.
- Be the primary contact for commercial team interaction in relevant sector(s)
- Client calls and engagement sessions for clients operating in relevant sector(s)
- Monitor call requests for area of responsibility and arrange attendance of team members (including their own calls) as appropriate
- Take responsibility for analysts in teams ensuring they take steps to meet their weekly call targets (1 call per week for those with targets)
- Ensure timely and effective query responses, and that query responses are high quality, client facing responses
- Be the key content (or product) champion with commercial (sales, custom, customer success, relationship management) teams
- Team management
- Provide overall direction and day to day management of their direct teams of analysts
- Outline clear workplans, set timelines and milestones
- Ensure good working habits within teams e.g. planners are kept up to date daily, timesheets are timely and accurate
- Ensure day to day activities are aligned to overall schedule priorities
- Ensure both quality and innovation objectives are actively pursued by all analysts
- Ensure reports are completed to time & quality
Role requirements:
- Educated to degree level.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Previous management and analyst experience
- Excellent time-management and organizational skill with an ability to meet tight deadlines.
- An ability to analyze quantitative data, and an understanding of the key issues, FMCG trends, macro issues, and their impact the value chain and consumer behavior.
- Experience of producing market analysis (such as manipulating and analyzing data and producing meaningful insight) is desirable.
- Client-facing skills (the ability to interact with and form relationships with key clients and meet weekly KPIs related to client calls) paired with commercial acumen and an ability to identify growth opportunities for them.
- Self-starter, detail-oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management frameworks.
