Job Description
Junior Account Executive, Slough: My client is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior Account Manager. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop a career in account management. You will deal with all areas of sales administration as well as be actively involved in client meetings (on-site).
- Assisting National Account Manager with all areas of account management. These could be large national accounts including the largest names in Retail, Hotels & Hospitality, Gyms, and Office Space down to very small businesses from various sectors.
- Doing research and preparing presentations.
- Supporting pitches.
- Regularly meeting customers both independently and with the NAM.
- Solving problems, answering queries, and looking for up-sell/new revenue opportunities.
- Analysis of wider market, current accounts (including market share, profit, growth, retention, etc).
- All areas of B2B Customer Service.
- Helping Sales process orders.
- Sending samples out to customers.
- Monitoring expiring contracts and working with sales to get them extended/resigned.
- All areas of sales administration.
The Successful Applicant
- Ideally, you will drive and be able to visit clients with an Account Manager and also independently.
- Ideally from a retail or hospitality background - If not, you need evidence of being totally customer-centric. In this sector, the customer is king, and you need to ensure their experience is excellent.
- You will be good with customers, excellent on the phone, able to communicate smoothly and articulately over email, and confident and engaging face to face.
- Ideally, you will drive - This is a Sales Support role where you will be client-facing, and this includes regularly meeting in person.
- You will be flexible with hours/workload. If a request comes in late Friday, maybe it needs some work over the weekend? Whilst this is not compulsory, it demonstrates the mindset and attitude needed if you are the right person for this job.
Please Note: This role is a great entry into a full sales role if you want. Over a couple of years doing this role, you learn the products and the customers and the way the business works and potentially then move into a sales/account management position.
What's on Offer
Salary of circa £28,000 - £30,000 plus excellent package.
