Iowa Orthopedic Center is actively seeking an Athletic Trainer to work in our clinic setting. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care by rooming patients, drawing up injections, educating patients and assisting in procedures under the direction of a physician. The role supports the physician, physician assistant and back off team to ensure a positive patient experience and outcome.

Hours: Clinic Hours Monday - Friday
This role will travel to our various clinics in the DM Metro Area
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides excellent patient care including directing patients to exam room, obtaining patient history and vitals, collects specimens and provide patient with materials and protocols for treatment recommendations as well as rehabilitation exercises.
- Pull x-rays and MRIs, draw up and prepare injection and procedure trays, sends diagnostic and therapy orders and prescription medications under direction of the provider
- Assist physician/x-ray tech with procedures including removing sutures, staples, applying Steri-Strips, appropriate bandages/dressings as well as assisting with cast and splint applications and/or removal
- Partner with physicians to discuss and diagnose orthopedic conditions, present relevant information including diagnostic studies, past medical records, recent treatments, and subjective complaints
- Accurately schedule/reschedule appointments and follow up appointments for patients as needed
- Document information in EMR and chart preparation for clinics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or Master's in Athletic Training required
- Current and up to date with the Board of Certification and State of Iowa Licensure for the Athletic Trainer
- Current CPR Certification and Mandatory Reporter Certification
- Ability to provide exceptional patient care
