This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Director of Revenue. Responsibilities include performing a variety of data-entry functions for Revenue Services, preparing reports and forms, supervising money counting operations, receiving and accounting for cash to bank accounts, distribution of tickets/passes and assisting in the supervision of Revenue Attendants.
Essential Job Functions:

- Performs monthly reconciliation of TVM/Customer Service change funds in vault
- Assists with Revenue Procurement Contracts

- Maintains inventory of fare media (monthly inventory counts and ordering).
- Records and approves the destroying of all used or expired tickets.
- Maintains supplies and reconciliation to budget
- Communicates with employees and managers to exchange information and explain procedures.
- Perform Money Room Operations Supervisor duties in his or her absence
- Daily deposit reconciliation
- Deposits receipts to appropriate bank accounts.
- Collects money from farebox and vault bags.
- Supervises and assists Money Room Attendants facing and counting bills for daily deposit, seals coins for shipment by armored car.
- Assists in supervising Revenue Attendants and overseeing the assigned workload, which includes monitoring and enforcing all security policies. Reports violations to the Money Room Operations Supervisor and assists in administering disciplinary action. Approves employees' work schedules and time reports in the absence of the Money Room Operations Supervisor.

- Manage new hire and termination forms
- Manage records created and received in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policy and Procedures.
- Other Duties as requested by the Director of Revenue Services.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions:
Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures. Ability to interact effectively with TDCHR managers and staff and with representatives of outlets. Ability to make logical decisions based on an understanding of day-to-day operations, using sound judgment and common sense.
Required Software Knowledge and Skills essential to Job Functions:
Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential. Basic problem-solving skills associated with software applications used is expected. Software usage relevant to job duties will be evaluated.

Training and/or Education:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience in revenue.
Required Experience:
Three years of revenue experience.
Licenses or Certificates:
Possess a valid Driver's License. Acquire a Virginia Driver's License within 60 days after the date of hire (in instances when an out of state license is not the applicant's current state of residence).
