The Application Administrator acts as an administrator for HRT’s Enterprise Asset Management software system in the realm of Intelligent Transportation Systems and plays an important role in software system administration, support, and implementations. This individual has responsibility for working within the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Application Services team primarily focused on the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System to ensure that the application operates and is being used in a manner that enables HRT staff to meet organizational goals for improved operational efficiency.
Applicant must have experience with functional and technical system administration of an Enterprise Asset Management system with emphasis on Computerized Maintenance Management System for Facilities/Linear/Rolling Stock/Other assets, State of Good Repair, KPI’s, integrations with other enterprise systems, and familiarity with Transit Asset Management (TAM) Plan. Applicant must be well versed in functional and technical aspects of an Asset Management system.
Essential Job Functions:

- Work with Application Services team, primarily in the functional and technical system administration of EAM System.
- Coordinates technical resources, information, and activities for EAM business processes.
- Liaison as a functional analyst between EAM system users and Application Services Team.
- Analyze and maintain the workflows established for various teams in EAM system documenting modifications as needed.
- Assist other departments to maintain data accuracy for assets, parts, equipment hierarchy, work flows for work orders, preventive maintenance programs, inspections, crew calendars, templates, etc.
- Create ad-hoc reports, search and screen customizations.
- Document, resolve, and ensure proper follow-up of issues to resolution/closure.
- Manage data load templates and perform bulk data loads as needed.
- Manage application user access and user role profiles.
- Maintain plans, processes, and system configuration to ensure system availability.
- Collaborate with network and server infrastructure teams when troubleshooting issues.
- Work with system vendors to resolve issues as needed.
- Provide recommendations to Application Services team on departmental needs related to applications for additional training, report customizations, system enhancements, upgrades, etc.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.
- Monitor application performance and integrations.
- Assist in evaluating proposals for new implementations, changes, and upgrades.
- Assist administering other ITS systems like CAD/AVL, Scheduling system, Fuel Management, etc.
- Collaborate with Application Services and other teams in activities associated with system implementation, maintenance, and upgrade activities.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of public transportation definitions and terminology by utilizing various resources like APTA, TCRP, FTA, and NTD.
- Maintain records created and received in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policy and Procedures.
- Performs on-call duties on rotation schedule as per established policies.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions:
- Direct experience administering and supporting an EAM, preferably Trapeze EAM, in functional and technical capacity is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent computer skills required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of enterprise applications, databases, terminology, processes, and an understanding of software application system concepts.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- An understanding of Transit Asset Management plan is desired.
- Experience using Crystal Reports, MS Excel and other report generation tools is desired.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment in decisions affecting application administration.
Required Software Knowledge and Skills essential to Job Functions:
Proficiency in using computer systems and the listed software applications associated with performance of assigned work is essential.
Software applications:
Enterprise Asset Management (preferably Trapeze EAM)
Basic problem-solving skills associated with software applications used is expected. Technical and/or functional administration of other ITS applications like Scheduling, Fuel Management, etc. is desired.

Training and/or Education:
BS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems or Related Field.
Required Experience:
Previous work experience in administration of EAM, preferably Trapeze EAM. A background in transit asset management, information technology or intelligent transportation systems is strongly preferred.
Licenses or Certificates:
Possess a valid Driver's License. Acquire a Virginia Driver's License within 60 days after the date of hire (in instances when an out of state license is not the applicant's current state of residence).
