Core Responsibilities
In the role as Senior Art Director, your main responsibilities are:
- with guidance, creative sparring and direction setting to help activating our LEGO products and their play experience into relevant and engaging packaging and product communication - from dynamic storytelling, composition, and visual expression.
- to creatively lead multiple franchise projects and succeed through partners and internal graphic design team.
- to ensure relevant communication with a red thread across the product assortment within a given LEGO franchise
- cocreate, align and collaborate across heavy internal stakeholder and external partner landscape
- being a graphic design & creative mentor. Help set creative art direction, raise the bar, evaluate and be a natural go-to-person for sparring, mentorship and decisions.
- to be a proactive contributor in impacting and driving broader cross-functional business agendas and initiatives

Play your part in our team succeeding
The Graphic Art team is responsible for the visual and creative execution of all LEGO® packaging communication and hereby the majority of all static product assets for other touchpoints – digital as printed. A dedicated team of specialists within graphic design, art direction, photography, computer generated imagery (CGI) and color retouch.
This role is part of our core team as a functional and creative specialist – contributing with overall business agenda as well direction, mentorship and sparring towards teams, partners and collaborators.
With your strong passion for creative work, graphic experience and through your mentorship and art direction you help our creative teams and partners to bring our LEGO® products to life with engaging creative and visual product communication and storytelling - targeting both consumers and shoppers.
Do you have what it takes?
- Creative agency background as minimum Art Director or Graphic Designer with validated skills within Adobe applications
- Proven experience in creative agency with shown skills within creative storytelling and visual expression
- Excellent communicator – verbally, creatively and visually
- Experience with packaging execution and product communication
- Someone who is always ready to help and has a positive and inspiring behavior, actively encouraging teamwork, mentoring, and providing mentorship. Empowerment with self-confidence and robustness.
- Collaborative and well-rounded mentality and curious working with other creatives both upstream and downstream
- Flexible and able to work within deadline in a constantly evolving environment
- Able to travel aboard towards partners for onsite training and guidance
- Able to work in our Best of Both scheme, which is 2 days at home and 3 days in the office.
- Digital eComm shopper understand and capabilities will be a big plus
- Determined – able to drive projects, responsibilities and business agenda
- Potentially experience with 3D software – preferable Maya
- Ensure we continuously develop, follow trends and keep raising the visual and creative output.
