We are seeking an Athletic Trainer to join our team and optimize the health, safety, and well-being of student athletes participating in school-sanctioned athletics. The Athletic Trainer plays a vital role in preventing, diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating orthopedic injuries and conditions among our designated student population. Athletic Trainers that work in our community play a major role in the active individual's life, preventing injury and helping provide care after an injury! Join St Joseph and make a difference!
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Coordination: Provide athletic training services at various area schools during practices and contests.
- Injury Evaluation: Conduct initial injury evaluations and ensure proper supervision and monitoring of rehabilitation programs.
- Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate files on all interactions and treatments provided to student athletes.
- Safety Compliance: Educate athletes on safety and injury prevention techniques, and prepare accident reports as needed.
- Injury Screening: Evaluate and screen athletes for potential injuries related to previous conditions.
- Timely Response: Provide prompt and appropriate evaluation of injuries and illnesses sustained by students during athletic activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in athletic training, sports medicine or related field from an accredited academic program
- Certification in the State of Indiana as an Athletic Trainer
- New graduates from an accredited college are welcome to apply
