The Inventory Control Clerk II will be responsible for inventory accuracy. Using company provided tools, the Inventory Control Clerk II will monitor and report on inventory accuracy, facilitate cycle counting and wall to wall inventory activities, assist with inventory reconciliation, suggest improvements to processes and procedures, display and foster a culture of inventory accuracy and accountability, and support management as needed.
Successful Inventory Control Clerks II should have impressive attention to detail, excellent observational skills, strong interpersonal communication skills, and be adept at problem solving. To succeed in the role, they should also possess an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, the skills and desire to learn new software applications, and an ability to work both independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy.
- Ensure physical inventory is in line with systemic inventory.
- Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Identify root cause of inventory discrepancies.
- Develop Kaizens to improve inventory control processes.
- Generate and analyze inventory control reports.
- Report KPIs to management as needed.
- Assist in development of ad-hoc inventory projects.
- Utilize data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for training.
- Assist management to ensure all employees are trained properly on inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor cycle count plan accurately and on schedule.
- Participate in periodic inventory audits to ensure SLA inventory accuracy levels are maintained.
- Participate in Physical Inventory/wall-to-wall inventory counts.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Two years' experience in a quality control/inventory control position is required.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; primarily Excel.
- Solid knowledge of math.
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work in cold/hot/dusty/loud environment.
- Ability to receive and understand direction from supervision and management.
