Overview: Futrend Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a federal agency in its global health IT portfolio. The SME will provide cyber security and general global health IT expertise, contributing to various projects and initiatives for the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on global health IT efforts.
- Generate subject matter materials for the agency’s Cyber Security and Interoperability Work Streams, as well as general its global health IT projects.
- Provide analysis of global health IT efforts, issues, and documents in a concise and clear manner.
- Develop preparatory materials at the executive level for meetings with countries, multi-national organizations, etc.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce high-quality deliverables and results.
- Execute projects, programs, and deliverables, e.g., work streams and digital health interest groups.
- Attend meetings with, or on behalf of the agency, and provide subject matter expertise, take notes, and capture action items.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of demonstrated and progressive experience and expertise in cybersecurity and health IT.
- Experience with network protocols, firewalls, TLS and IPSec.
- Experience with Risk Assessment and Management.
- Experience with threat detection and prevention using tools like Spunk, Microsoft Sentinel
- Experience with Security Frameworks and Standards, e.g., NIST Security Framework.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and HITECH (Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health) Act.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and security for the cloud.
- Superb written communication skills, capable of producing clear and concise executive-level documents with minimal to no edits required.
- Excellent project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple workflows and adapt to new strategies and priorities.
- Strong critical thinking skills to deliver high-quality projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with health IT security in hospitals, clinical centers, NIH, FDA, etc.
Certificates in HCISPP, CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
