We are currently seeking a skilled LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credits) Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join their dynamic team and contribute to our mission of fostering affordable housing initiatives. Must be able to run a deal with little to no supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Providing legal counsel on Low-Income Housing Tax Credit transactions.
- Conducting due diligence and ensuring compliance with LIHTC regulations.
- Drafting and negotiating agreements related to affordable housing projects.
- Advising clients on tax credit structuring and financing options.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful transactions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the New York State Bar.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing as a LIHTC Attorney.
- In-depth knowledge of LIHTC regulations, tax laws, and real estate transactions.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have experience on the developer side of transactions.
- Ideally seeking someone who can manage the deal process with little to no oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
