The programs we support are utilized on various military aircraft, some ground-based platforms, and other future contract awards.<br><br>Position Responsibilities:<br>* Opportunity to work directly with the operator interface to launch Harpoon missiles<br>* Develop leadership skills and experiences<br>* Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle<br>* Develop software on both Windows and Linux platforms in both unclassified and classified environments<br>* Create real-time operator-in-the-loop embedded systems, weapons systems, and weapon interfaces<br>* Apply knowledge and experiences with algorithms, human/machine interfaces, and launch protocols<br>* Use an agile process following a set of standard engineering processes<br>* Develops, documents, and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems.<br>* Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.<br>* Develops software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.<br>* Performs software project management and software supplier management functions.<br>* Develops, selects, tailors, and deploys software processes, tools, and metrics.<br>* Executes and documents software research and development projects<br>* Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.<br>* Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.<br>* Collaborate with several engineering teams to identify software products needed<br>* Develop software verification plans and ensure software and system level testing is performed to verify correct software functionality<br>* Perform software baseline audits to ensure products contain only the approved content<br>* Coordinate with program Configuration Management to ensure appropriate release and distribution of software products<br>* Maintain the Direct Attack Software team's processes and command media<br>* Contribute in an Agile development environment using Jira, BitBucket/git, and Confluence<br>* Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team to create and implement Operational Flight Program software solutions<br>* Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle in an Agile development environment<br>* Test your software and assist system level testing to verify correct software functionality<br>* Analyze problem reports and troubleshooting software defects<br>* Develop leadership skills and experience<br>* Opportunity to work directly with United States Air Force and Navy customers<br><br>Required Qualifications: (Required Skills/ Experience)<br>* Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree<br>* Minimum of 5 year of experience developing software<br>* Minimum of 5 year of experience utilizing Linux and/or Windows operating systems<br>* Experience in embedded real-time software development<br><br>Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)<br>* Experience with weapon and/or aircraft interfaces<br>* Professional experience with Visual Studio, JIRA, Green Hills AdaMULTI, VxWorks, and/or Ada<br>* Previous role that used a software development process<br>* Experience with ClearCase and ClearQuest<br>* Experience with Jenkins<br>* Experience programming in Ada<br>* Experience with Python, or C#<br>* Experience with C or C++<br>* Experience with Git or a similar version control system<br>* Experience working in an Agile software development environment<br>* Experience working in a team environment in a professional environment<br><br>Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
