INTRAL History
INTRAL was founded in 1987 as the first company to act as an outsourced logistics department for any Fortune 1000 company. Our entry into the market was the subject of an Accenture Supply Chain Practice study and a Harvard Business Review, both stating that the INTRAL model was on the forefront of what would indeed become the future. INTRAL Corporation was the first independent, non-asset based, U.S. company to offer professional international trade and logistics management services. Our firm was established when The Gillette Company spun off its in-house import/export logistics department in an effort to focus on core competencies, increase efficiency and recognize bottom-line savings. Today, businesses of all sizes depend on INTRAL’s distinctive professional services and proprietary technology to manage their international supply chains; from order processing, transportation, regulatory compliance, purchasing and freight forwarding, to customer service and tracking/tracing shipments.
INTRAL Philosophy
INTRAL embraces the tradition of providing cutting-edge, professional supply chain management, as well as transportation services and purchasing. We have listened, learned and responded to our clients’ needs and concerns throughout the past 27 years. We have operated as a 4PL/3PL before these terms existed; this model is not only embedded in the INTRAL culture – it is our DNA.

Our people are the nucleus of INTRAL. We have knowledgeable staff consisting of supply chain professionals with an average of 10+ years in the industry, educated through in-house and external end-to-end supply chain management training. Our team is qualified individuals with impressive credentials; 95% of our staff has bachelor’s degrees and 25% have advanced degrees and are multilingual.
