Mount Joy Wire is a trusted leader in manufacturing specialty wire for a wide variety of applications, including aerospace, automotive, architectural, construction, marine, medical and oil and gas. All of our core products—spring, brush and oil-tempered wire—are made in America at our Mount Joy, Pennsylvania headquarters.

Our experienced workforce and in-house technical staff use their unique skill and precision to create wire products of consistent quality and value. Our comprehensive physical testing capabilities include microscopic analysis and other rigorous evaluations by metallurgical experts, guaranteeing the highest quality wire designed to meet the most exacting specifications of our diverse customer base. Our focus is on delivering value to customers through continuous quality improvement.

Founded in 1991 by experienced wire manufacturing professional Fred Krieger and his son, Rick, Mount Joy Wire has seen exponential growth and success over the last 25 years. As a result of that growth, we have expanded our leadership, particularly in the United States. Mount Joy Wire is currently led by CEO Tom Duff, President Ty Krieger and General Manager and Metallurgist Jon Stine.

Capabilities

Mount Joy Wire Corporation’s capabilities include:

Tempering: We can temper wire as thin as .005” to as thick as .175”. Our large capacity allows us to match any condition need from lowest to highest tensile strength. Our tempered high fatigue brush wire is the highest quality in the industry.
Drawing: We have the capability to draw down to .002” while maintaining strict tolerances and high quality.
Patenting: Our wire patenting abilities enable the production of fine grain pearlitic steel.
Laser Gauging: Our capabilities enable us to monitor the size, shape and quality of wire throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring the most consistent and high quality product.
Packaging: Our flexible packaging capabilities are designed to meet your specific packaging requirements. From one-pound spools to 1,400-pound reels; coils at 8”, 13”, 16”, 22”, 30”, 36” or 48” size; clockwise or counter-clockwise feed, we will package your wire in the way that is most convenient for your application.
Galvanizing: We offer electro-galvanizing with zinc coating to provide exceptional corrosion resistance.
Tin-Plating: We provide tin-plating capabilities for fine finishes on solder wire and other products.
Annealing: Our annealing processes allow us to create products of exceptional pliability, consistency and strength.
