Meet Dr. Sonila Sejdaras
Dr. Sonila Sejdaras is an Albanian-born clinical psychologist, who emigrated to America 1999 leaving her family behind to pursue higher education. Sonila is sought-after for her expertise on a range of topics including complex trauma, addiction, social anxiety, panic attacks, depression, perfectionism, stress and self compassion.
Dr. Sejdaras has been recognized as an emerging leader in her field with accolades including selection for Who's Who in America, and she is active in the American Psychological Association. She credits her success to her compassion and perseverance, and advises others that constant growth and a commitment to overcoming hardships are key to accomplishing their goals. Dr. Sejdaras views her role as a catalyst for change, and she hopes to make an impact on a global cultural scale, encouraging others to create unity and work toward humanitarian causes.
She is also the founder of Care for Albania, a nonprofit organization creating local and international partnerships to provide essential resources and community support for those in need throughout Albania and neighboring countries. Dr. Sejdaras remains a member of the organization's board of directors and is involved in the Albanian-American Community of Illinois.
