This position is eligible for CRITICAL POSITION BONUS equal to $10,000, plus relocation assistance!
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, the Clinical Supervisor directs and coordinates the daily activities of peri-operative clinical activities working in OR to provide continuity of quality nursing services. The position provides patient care expertise through the coordination, direction and education of nursing staff, in addition to assuring that patient's needs are met through adequate daily staffing of the department. The Clinical Supervisor collaborates with the Director to improve the overall performance of the department. Acts as a liaison to the medical staff and other departments. Covers for the Director in her/his absence.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates in Nursing
- State of Alaska RN Licensure or able to Obtain
- Five years of acute care hospital experience in an OR
- One Year experience in a nursing leadership role.
- Basic management skills are required, e.g., knowledge of budgeting, quality, performance improvement, regulations. Skilled at obtaining consensus and fostering collaboration in the department.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
