The position of Lowers & Associates - Audit and Compliance Specialist works under the direct supervision of the Director of Compliance & Audit Operations - L&A. This role performs specialized field work for the Cash-In-Transit (CIT), Financial Institution, Pawnbroker, Check Casher, and other related programs as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform the primary project types: Cash Vault Audits, Risk Assessments, Compliance Surveys, Street Inspections
Cash vault audits involve counting and reconciling currency and coin; surveys involve evaluating operations and facility controls with regard to security practices, as well as physical security inspections; and street inspection involves covert observation of vehicles and crews while performing street operations.
Appropriate communication with various program and department heads, field personnel, and clients; requires maintaining working relationships with these persons to support the work of the programs and departments and the primary source for client and auditor communication.
Reviews & analyzes field reports and accompanying documentation to ensure all written reports are coherent, factual, thorough, and accurate.
Monitors and reviews daily activity for performance and timeliness and ensures field work is performed in accordance with L&A and client standards.
Reports to clients as needed with regard to status of audits and reviews and prepares timely responses to all inquiries.
Maintains records critical to client and auditor performance.
Provides status updates to multiple customers.
Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and clients, at once and effectively prioritize tasks in accordance with the needs of the project while ensuring strict confidentiality of all information without continued oversight.
Compiles and distributes confirmations and SSAE reports.
Perform Ad-Hoc functions in order to complete L&A goals.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education:
o Minimum: Associates degree in related field
o Preferred: Bachelor's degree in related field
Experience:
o Minimum: Previous experience in position(s) requiring a high level of accuracy, confidentiality and detail orientation and experience in a customer facing environment
QUALIFICATIONS:

In an Auditor role, must be willing to travel up to 90%.
Ability to book and coordinate travel to each location.
