Health Insurance Product SpecialistDirect Hire100% Remote (Will be working PST Time Zone Hours)Responsibilities:- Must understand small group health insurance sales and implementation processes, including quoting, enrollment, underwriting, case submission, ongoing eligibility, and renewals.
- Must be able to collaborate and naturally build trusting relationships with technical developers, business stakeholders, and external clients in whatever form is comfortable for them (in person, phone, email, Teams chat, etc.).
- Customer-focused and sales-minded with the ability to use your analytical mind to solve problems at the root cause and overcome objections in sales meetings. You encourage those around you to focus on solutions.
- Comfortable with change and believe in continuous improvement. You have a focus on quality and accuracy, and you spend time in the details if needed.
- Understand business and technology workflows and how they support the overall business goals.
- Support business groups in both sales presentations and adoption of technical platforms and processes.
- Help stakeholders differentiate between wants and needs.
- Collaborate with team members and vendors to generate and design practical solutions, prioritizing work when necessary.
- Help with user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
- Identify areas of improvement and contribute to product roadmaps. Collaborate on assessments of vendor solutions
- Create, maintain, and/or support documentation that meets the needs of relevant stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date on health insurance quoting and enrollment requirements and needs in relevant states.
- Work remotely on Pacific Time working hours, with travel and work hour flexibility as required.
Requirements
- Demonstrated firm understanding of group health insurance sales and implementation processes, including quoting, enrollment, case submission, underwriting, benefit administration, eligibility and renewals
- Working knowledge of technology that supports that work stream from general agency, broker, employer, and employee points of view
- Track record of managing diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions
- Familiarity with software management and database practices
- Familiarity with change management practices
Estimated Min Rate: $100000
Estimated Max Rate: $120000
