ABOUT THE ROLE
The Install Leader is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training, and management of offsite subcontractor crews and Field Specialists. This role involves building relationships with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with Drexel standards, and providing support for successful offsite installation.
What You'll Do:
- Prospect for qualified subcontractors and develop strong partnerships
- Conduct plant tours and on-site training to familiarize subcontractors with the company's standards and expectations
- Assess potential subcontractors for cultural alignment, cleanliness, and adherence to quality standards
- Develop and implement training programs that cover Drexel guidelines, procedures, and best practices. Provide expert guidance on safety, quality control, and equipment usage
- Conduct quarterly performance assessments with subcontractor crews to evaluate their performance and offer constructive feedback
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings with subcontractors to discuss project plans and expectations. Provide on-site support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Evaluate subcontractor performance against key metrics such as on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, quality, and safety
- Address performance deficiencies through training or corrective actions and implement a comprehensive system for tracking and evaluating subcontractor performance
- Develop strong relationships with subcontractors and gain a thorough understanding of their business needs. Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration and growth
- Provide support and resources to facilitate the success of subcontractors
- Analyze market trends and fluctuations in workload. Forecast labor requirements based on market demand and the project pipeline
- Ensure that the subcontractor capacity is sufficient to meet project deliverables
What You'll Need:
- Display strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in the construction or a related field
- Demonstrate a proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
- Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Have a deep understanding of construction industry best practices and standards
- Capable of effectively training and developing others
