Job Purpose:
The Counter Sales Representative plays a vital role in building strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and leveraging industry knowledge to meet client needs. This position is responsible for ensuring clear communication, efficient order processing, and supporting the team's overall objectives, all while maintaining an organized and well-managed inventory system.
We're looking for a Counter Sales Representative with some or all the following:
- Proven experience delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting
- A successful track record in sales or a passion for relationship-building and meeting targets
- A natural ability to grasp mechanical concepts and solve problems
- Knowledge of fluid power systems is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Office 365
- Comfort with using and troubleshooting standard office equipment like printers and copiers
- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to excel independently
- Strong prioritization skills with a knack for completing tasks efficiently
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying information clearly
The Counter Sales Representative will be responsible for:
- Building and nurturing relationships with prospective and current customers
- Utilizing industry expertise and product knowledge to match products with client needs
- Addressing customer inquiries regarding product details, applications, and industry trends
- Providing accurate quotes, bids, and information to clients
- Collaborating with purchasing departments, managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and accurate order processing
- Managing multiple projects efficiently and effectively
- Taking on additional responsibilities to support team objectives
- Handling cycle counting, order pulling, and stocking tasks
