New Gastroenterology Hospitalist Locums Job in Georgia Our client in Georgia is searching for a Gastroenterologist to assist with unrestricted call coverage starting in March/April and ongoing. This is a large health system in Georgia, and a client we've partnered with often. Details/Requirements for Assignment Coverage starting Spring 2025 (due to credentialing timeframe) and ongoing for 6 months. Searching for 7 on/off 24-hour unrestricted call coverage. Looking to establish a GI hospitalist program. You would be needed until permanent candidates are in place. Will have virtual trainings, EPIC EMR training and modules to complete prior to start. Moderate volume. Will likely work an 8-hour day Monday through Friday while taking 24-hour call. Weekends can expect to spend 4 hours on average in the hospital per day. No scheduled cases on the weekends, but will round, consult and operate as needed. ERCP preferred, EUS not required/. Will not see any trauma Coverage is for two hospitals (one hospital is very low volume) The hospitals are 7 minutes away by car. Hospital has 10-15 days per month uncovered. Looking for a candidate with consistent availability to offer at least one week per month. Will have block time for Endoscopy during the week. Typically will see 3-4 consults per day on average as well. Internal Medicine docs and Residents will help support the locum while on site, and continuing care when locum isn't on site. Can expect phone calls in the evenings, but callbacks to the hospital are at a minimum.
