The locum tenens Hospitalist opportunity in Oklahoma
Duration: October December (possibility of extending into 2025 as well)
Reason for coverage: unexpected delay with permanent physicians starting
Schedule: Flexible, 10-14 shifts per month. Open to 7 on/7 off schedule and sporadic per diem coverage as well.
Shift: 10-15 shifts per month. Day Shifts: 7a-7p (most pressing), and occasional Night Shifts: 7p-7a or 5p-5a (Nocturnist can take call as well)
Patient volume: varies but average 15-17 PPD, 2-4 admissions per provider
Scope: Hospitalist
Procedures Required: Inpatient rounding, consults, and vent management required
- Procedures not required but have the option to perform: Chest tubes, respond to codes, central/arterial lines
EMR: Allscripts
Hospital: Level III Trauma. 283 total beds.Open ICU
Group/support: 2 CCM on day shifts for most critical patients. Hospitalist covers the rest of ICU, 1 NP helps with admission on occasion (not guaranteed to have NP every day of scheduled shift)
Requirements (boards, license): BC/BE in either Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, OK License preferred but open to active IMLC Compact License, DEA
