Ahealthcare facility in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced EmergencyMedicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenensopportunity. This position is within a high-volume Level II trauma center,providing an exciting and fast-paced environment for skilled advanced practiceproviders.
The facility has 423 hospital beds, including a 49-bed Emergency Department,and serves approximately 70,000 patients annually. The trauma center isdesignated as Level II, and the role requires no on-call responsibilities.
In this role, the NP or PA will provide comprehensive care to emergencydepartment patients, including initial evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment fora wide range of medical conditions and traumas. Responsibilities includecollaborating with attending physicians and the multidisciplinary team toensure timely and effective patient care. Providers will also perform emergencyprocedures within their scope of practice, such as suturing, splinting, andother interventions, while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation inaccordance with facility protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Advanced certifications required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support).
- Experience in a high-volume emergency department or trauma setting.
- Active Texas license.
