About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead School Age Teacher to join our Broadway team. As a Lead School Age Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in our after-school program. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Your main goal will be to provide a positive and enriching experience for children in our care, while also fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- CPL III or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents
- Must have Valid OH Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with 1+ years experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a daily schedule of activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and families about their child's progress and development
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and aides
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development
Skills:
As a Lead School Age Teacher, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. You will also use your knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices to create and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all children in the program. Additionally, you will use your leadership and supervisory skills to mentor and support assistant teachers and aides. Your ability to work collaboratively with others will be essential in creating a safe and nurturing environment for all children in our care.
Compensation details: 17-18 Hourly Wage
