We are currently seeking an Analyst - Metadatato join our media operations & delivery team based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
The Analyst, Metadatais responsible for conforming and preparing series/season level descriptive metadata as well as library, film and acquired series metadata for delivery to new AMCN video products across traditional STB and Video On-Demand platforms. This role will support the Manager, Metadata within the Metadata Team as well as colleagues within the Platform & Partnerships and Metadata group, in conforming and quality control of metadata as it relates to delivery specifications. The Analyst will interact with internal stakeholders and external business partners and vendors to ensure successful metadata delivery as well as to assist in investigating and rectifying delivery issues. This role is also expected to contribute to and support the growth and evolution of metadata best practices and workflows. In additional to day-to-day metadata management, the Analyst may be tasked to conduct UAT (user-acceptance testing) on internal systems and processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and support metadata process requirements in support of AMC Networks media content
- Review non-linear Network schedules and prepare metadata to meet schedule deliverables
- Manage/input descriptive metadata within asset management systems
- Produce deliverables to partner specifications, document and execute on requirements to update live content
- Manage daily and ad hoc updates to live content, coordinate deliverable status with Networks and Media Operations Team for all AMCN brands including AMC, AMC+, BBCA, IFCtv, Sundance tv, WEtv, IFC Films, Shudder, Sundance Now, Acorn, ALLBLK, HIDIVE
- Interact with internal teams and external vendors to confirm deliveries, re-pitches, scheduling changes, and updates for all linear and non-linear content, as necessary
- Assist with research and evaluation of products/services that could be integrated into metadata deliverables (Gracenote, EIDR, etc.) to help promote content discoverability to AMCN viewers and subscribers
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years of work experience within a television network or media company, preferably in Digital Supply Chain management, Media Operations
- Basic understanding of XML files as it relates to VOD/TVE/OTT/AVOD
- Excellent communication skills and works well with others
- Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Strong focus on prioritization, detail, time management and organization
- Ability to take direction and work independently
The base compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $64,000 commensurate with experience.
