Position Summary
The position is responsible for supporting the Durable Goods Leadership Committee (DGLC), Plastics Industry Producer Statistics (PIPS) and Automotive member teams of the ACC Plastics Division's Durable Markets Advocacy Team. This includes managing office procedures and workflow, organizing team documents, processing contracts, check requests, and invoices; tracking team budgets and supporting management of subscriber accounts for statistics; as well as organizing meeting materials and logistics, and assisting with projects, such as monthly newsletters, social media and communications. The position reports directly to the Senior Director, Durable Markets Advocacy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the Automotive, DGLC, and PIPS teams and their members.
- Schedules meetings and manages calendar changes for internal and Member meetings, assists with meeting logistics and material preparation, including attending meetings to provide active support during member meetings
- Prepares content for monthly newsletters, social media and a variety of internal and external communications
- Prepares presentations, reports, spreadsheets, and documents using a variety of computer applications
- Supports the management and oversight of budget and accounting, including processing of check requisitions/invoices, monitoring expenses, revenue, budget, member dues
- Maintains contract files, including tracking deliverables, subscriptions and membership, serve as point of contact for all associated contracts and liaison to the Finance and Accounting department
- Maintains updated membership information, conducts member surveys, and prepares and transmits correspondence, agendas, meeting records and briefing materials for meetings
- Supports the management of the subscriber database access to statistics reports, responds to subscriber inquiries and processes subscription orders
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Two years related experience with business, trade, government, political or policy advocacy organization
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently on a variety of projects and prioritize multiple issues, projects, and information requests
- Curiosity about sustainability, policy, the environment and statistics with a desire to grow and learn
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience with Internet research tools and social media
- Working knowledge and demonstrated ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Preferred
- Trade association, business, or professional office management experience
- Accounting and budget experience
