Salary Range for US Based Staff: $55,463 - $65,250

Position Summary:
The Special Olympics Digital Products and Technology team is focused on improving outcomes for the athletes we serve, enabling rapid and efficient health research, supporting business decisions, managing risk, and responding to and developing technology-driven solutions to address the needs of Special Olympic programs at the state, country, and regional levels. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make major positive impact in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
As a Health Data Manager, you will partner with the Health team to support data management, support research and evaluation, and develop automated analytics solutions. You'll work with others on the team to harness the power of Special Olympics’ data with machine learning to provide insights at scale that drive both long-term strategy and near-term Health department operations, outcomes, and research. You will help answer impactful and meaningful questions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage internal and external Health data requests and support
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create and maintain dashboards to support longitudinal studies and other Health Research & Evaluation activities
- Create and support analysis and visualization for conference posters, peer-reviewed manuscripts, presentations and other communications materials (e.g., infographics, resource materials)
- Support Health data cleaning activities
- Serve as system admin for REDCap and other data systems
- Support historical data management, data governance activities, and data collection applications
Minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience plus Three to Five years of relevant work experience. Experience and/or coursework in the area of Data management, Data governance, Data Engineering, Database Management, Data analysis and/or Data science is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL and other general-purpose programming languages
- Experience in visualizing and summarizing data
- Demonstrated self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Power BI or other analytics software
- Demonstrated skills in selecting the right frameworks and tools to deliver data management and support analytics projects.
- Familiarity with health information systems (HIS) and EHR/EMR
