Who you are
- You hold a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, CPA or CMA preferred
- You have progressive multi-year experience in managing for-profit organization's financial operations and finance teams; experience in hospitality/resort financial operations strongly preferred
- You have knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, taxation and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- You have had previous responsibility for the assembly and submission of financial statements, prepared according to GAAP
- You have job knowledge of all standard positions in accounting/finance; and a working knowledge of hotel systems and operations
- You exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- You have the ability to successfully manage, develop and motivate members of a finance team
- You are strategic and analytical, with solid business acumen and high ethical standards
- You have strong computer skills and literacy and high-level technical aptitude
- You possess stellar organizational skills, detail orientation, execution and follow-through, and a proven ability to work well under time constraints and resolve problems effectively
What you'll do
- You will coordinate and administer all financial operations of the resort, to include, but not limited to, asset protection, financial reporting, banking, payroll, systems management, financial audits, property-wide budget and forecasting, entity and departmental fiscal management
- You will provide accurate and timely financial reporting/information to owners and leadership, and will oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditures, and ledger/account maintenance
- You will develop and/or maintains internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash management, and accounting
- You ensure compliance with GAAP and all legal and regulatory financial requirements
- You will prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, profit programming, profit and cost analyses, and contribute toward a more profitable operation
- You will oversee and ensure accuracy of all tenant leases, contracts, licenses, permits, insurance and mortgage documents and ascertain compliance therewith
- You will oversee the recruitment, training, development and career progression of all finance team members and manage retention efforts
- As a member of the executive committee, you will effectively partner and communicate with all leaders and their teams, representing Tetherow in a professional and exemplary, brand-centric manner
