Position Title: Universal Banker/Assistant Vice President
Location: Waverly, IL
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Universal Banker/Assistant Vice President to join our team at our Waverly, IL banking center. This role is ideal for a banking professional with strong leadership skills and experience in retail banking, customer relationship management, and operational oversight. The Universal Banker/AVP will oversee daily branch operations, provide exceptional service to customers, and assist in growing the bank's business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with account opening, loan applications, and banking inquiries.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive deposit and loan growth.
- Supervise branch staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of branch goals, budgets, and marketing initiatives.
- Promote the bank's products and services to existing and prospective customers through proactive sales efforts and community engagement.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Participate in community events and professional networking opportunities to represent the bank and build relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; additional education in business or finance is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in retail banking, customer service, or sales.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic math and computer applications.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and move within the office for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally.
- Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
