Job Description:
Elmm Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our Team and help us deliver outstanding results for clients. We provide compassionate, personalized legal service while consistently achieving successful outcomes for those impacted by personal injury cases.
In this role, you'll manage personal injury cases from inception to completion, focusing on securing fair settlements for clients. This includes evaluating claims, negotiating with insurance companies, and preparing cases for litigation if necessary. Our ideal candidate brings exceptional legal expertise, strong communication skills, and fluency in Spanish to better serve our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
Client Consultation and Case Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive consultations with clients to discuss the details of their personal injury claims and establish a professional, empathetic rapport.
- Collect and meticulously review all relevant case information, including medical records, accident reports, and witness statements, to evaluate the case's viability and strength.
- Identify liability by analyzing the circumstances of the incident, determining potential responsible parties, and assessing contributory factors.
Negotiation and Settlement:
- Skillfully advocate for clients by negotiating with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to secure optimal outcomes.
- Provide expert evaluation of settlement offers, empowering clients to make informed decisions for their future.
- Pursue compensation that truly reflects the client's losses, including medical costs, property damage, lost income, and the impact of pain and suffering.
Documentation and Case Preparation:
- Craft compelling demand letters that highlight the client's injuries, liability, and damages with precision and impact.
- Gather, organize, and present vital evidence, including medical records and accident reports, to strengthen the case.
- Accurately calculate damages, covering medical expenses, future treatments, lost income, and other significant factors.
Client Communication:
- Maintain consistent, transparent communication with clients, keeping them informed every step of the way.
- Educate clients on their rights, the legal process, and potential outcomes, fostering confidence and understanding.
- Set clear, realistic expectations about settlements and the possibility of litigation.
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR):
- Explore alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation or arbitration, to achieve efficient and satisfactory client outcomes.
Legal Research and Strategy:
- Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
- Develop innovative strategies to bolster claims and secure maximum compensation for clients.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Partner seamlessly with legal team members, including paralegals and investigators, to build comprehensive cases.
- Collaborate with medical experts and accident reconstruction specialists to provide robust evidence.
Case Management:
- Ensure meticulous case management with organized records, detailed documentation, and effective correspondence.
- Monitor critical deadlines, statutes of limitations, and legal requirements to protect client interests at every stage.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong understanding of personal injury laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Empathetic and client-focused approach to handling cases.
- Experience in pre-litigation personal injury work is preferred but not always required.
- Bi-lingual/Spanish is huge plus
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00+ per year plus bonuses based on performance
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location:

Compensation:$100,000+ per year plus bonuses
Responsibilities:- Converse with clients, expert witnesses, supporting witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to gather information
- Arrange suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate
- Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
- Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system
- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case and conduct legal research on case law and premises liability
- Oversee personal injury case files from beginning to end
Qualifications:- Excellent negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills are desired
- Requires a bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree
- State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
- Proficiency in computers is vital
- A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired
