Our product team, comprised of scientific researchers, biomedical engineers, elite athletes, and sportswear designers based in Bayreuth, Germany, is dedicated to pushing the limits of performance. Since 2007, we have perfected compression technology to benefit oxygen flow and muscle efficiency.
Our latest innovation, the Omnispeed shoe, launched in 2024, features BowTech -a patented technology that optimizes foot mechanics, boosting energy return for a healthier run. We are committed to continuously improving our products, challenging ourselves to redefine what is possible for athletes.
Our Heritage
CEP may be a young brand, but our origins are rich. Founded in 2007 by the pioneers behind medi, a family-owned leader in medical compression for over 70 years, we transformed a niche concept into mainstream running gear. Our founder, Dr. Michael Weihermüller, believed athletes could gain from compression, and on July 1, 2007, triathlete Timo Bracht set a course record in our socks.
This moment ignited a passion for performance that fuels us today. Your Job:
As a US Territory Brand Manager at CEP, you will spearhead our field support initiatives within your designated territory, focusing on the launch and promotion of our innovative OMNISPEED shoe. Your mission will be to drive brand presence in key accounts, enhance sell-through of our performance gear, and foster recognition and loyalty for the CEP brand. By collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing teams, you will implement effective grassroots programs and training initiatives that educate retail associates and engage runners. Your role will also involve representing CEP at national and regional running events, ensuring our commitment to athlete support is showcased and celebrated.
Responsibilities
- Product Launch Focus: Drive the successful launch of the OMNISPEED shoe, developing the brand presence in key accounts through training, seeding, and organizing group runs.
- Sales and Marketing Collaboration: Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to support product launches, in-store merchandising, and innovative grassroots programs that enhance brand visibility.
- Sell-Through Accountability: Focus on driving sell-through for established products while engaging in conversations with buyers and owners about expanding their assortment with new opportunities.
- Education and Motivation: Educate and inspire retail associates, runners, and relevant affiliates about CEP technology and product advantages through clinics, drop-in visits, and events.
- Event Representation: Represent CEP at national and select local running events and expos, handling set-up, breakdown, distribution of marketing materials, and engaging with consumers for product trials.
- Regional Marathon Expos: Expand the CEP brand by working at regional running marathon expos, connecting with athletes, and promoting our products.
- Field Reporting: Complete weekly field notes detailing visits, clinics, and events, while providing insights on product performance and competitor activities.
- Digital Engagement: Participate in creating product videos for platforms like YouTube and Myagi, as well as other educational and social media initiatives as needed.
- Budget Management: Responsible for managing a yearly product seeding and corporate card budget, including the timely completion of monthly expense reports.
Qualifications:
- Must reside within the designated sales territory.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience specifically in the specialty running industry; 2 years is preferred.
- Background in the Outdoor, Sports, or Athletic industries is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with performance athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories, along with their technologies.
- Understanding of the biomechanics of human movement and basic principles of injury prevention is highly desirable.
- Basic proficiency in retail math, inventory management, product merchandising, and sales techniques.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, including managing calendars, contacts, and budgets.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of running and an ability to connect with runners, fostering genuine relationships within the retail space and the CEP community.
- Skillful in strategically managing an annual budget to maximize benefits for the territory and the brand.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel extensively; flexibility to work weekends and longer hours as needed.
