Service Quality Knowledge
Position Overview:
Full-time, HANDS ON position including various job functions within the warehouse such as weighing product, machine operation, driving, shipping/receiving, palletizing, and lifting. This position has an emphasis on ensuring accuracy of orders and safety of employees. Must maintain open communication with sales and office staff to ensure timely completion of orders and the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Duties:
Accountable for ensuring that warehouse operations are consistent and reflect best practices
Consistent methodology for inventory counts
Consolidate purchases of warehouse equipment and/or materials (i.e. bags, etc.) to take advantage of savings opportunities
Help ensure the Company's key competitive advantage of highly accurate, just-in-time order fulfillment practices are consistent and performed at a high level across all locations
Ensure that warehouses are properly staffed to be as efficient as possible, finding labor savings where possible
Work with the HR Manager to ensure safety is the top priority throughout all warehouse operations and activities
Job Requirements:
Fork lift experience
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis
Proficient with tracking inventory locations, simple math, and lot numbering system
Clean driving record within the last five years
Excellent attendance required, with reliable transportation to work
Accurately and efficiently load finished product onto customer trucks without damage
Speak clearly, listen attentively, follow instructions, and work with little supervision
Willing to work overtime as needed during busy seasons (primarily spring and fall)
Ability to work well with others, including internal staff and external customers
Follow policies and procedures with awareness to safety
Travel to various sites will be required as needed to execute assigned duties
Qualifications:
Basic math and computer skills
Successful completion of post offer background check and drug screen
Valid driver's license
Successful completion of post offer motor vehicle report for moving violations
Exhibited leadership and team building skills in a warehouse environment
Physical Requirements:
Allergies: Position will be regularly subjected to possible allergens including grasses and flowering species
Standing/Walking frequently; while performing duties in warehouse; walking 8 hours per shift on concrete surface
Bending/Twisting: Occasionally bending at waist 30-45 degrees for various tasks, including loading/unloading shipments
Hands/Arms: Frequent use of both hands/arms throughout the work shift while loading/unloading product using cart or hand truck. Frequent use of both hands/arms throughout the work shift while reaching forward, handling, gripping, power grasping product, carts, and pallet jacks.
Kneeling/Crouching: Occasionally, while picking orders, boxes of supplies at floor level, shrink wrapping and while performing clean up tasks
Lifting/carrying: Occasionally lift/carry up to 60 pounds of product to reposition on cart or pallet
